Why Cleveland Flames?

Elite competition, close to home. For too long, Northeast Ohio's most talented girls have had to travel out of state — or leave home entirely — to play AAA hockey. The Flames change that. Our teams compete in the Tier 1 Elite Hockey League and NGHL against the best programs in the country, while practicing and playing home games right here in Cleveland.

World-class leadership. Flames players learn from coaches who have played at every level of the game: Olympic gold and silver medalists, NCAA Division I standouts, and professional veterans. Program leadership includes Shannon Szabados (two-time Olympic gold medalist), Brianne McLaughlin-Bittle (two-time Olympic silver medalist), Charlie Cook (Cornell, AHL, and European pro), and Ohio Hockey Project founder Russ Sinkewich.

A true development pathway. From our 8U development program through 10U pre/post teams to full-time 12U and 14U AAA-AA teams, the Flames offer a complete pipeline — supported by Ohio Hockey Project's year-round skills training, goaltending instruction, and off-ice development.
