Founded by Ohio Hockey Project, the Cleveland Flames were created to give Northeast Ohio's girls a true development pathway — one where they no longer have to leave home to play elite hockey. Flames teams compete in the Tier 1 Elite Hockey League and the NGHL, with home ice at Winterhurst Ice Arena in Lakewood.

Our program is led by some of the most decorated names in women's hockey — including three-time Olympic medalist Shannon Szabados and two-time Olympic medalist Brianne McLaughlin-Bittle — alongside a coaching staff of former NCAA, professional, and international players who are invested in every athlete's growth on and off the ice.
